Leadership

Allen Cagle, Lead Pastor

I have the privilege of serving as pastor at Sunrise. My wife, Mindy, and our three children have enjoyed getting to know the SCC family. I spent most of my life in Alabama, graduating High School and college in Mobile (University of Mobile, BS, 2000). We were married shortly after graduating college in 2000 and served in youth ministry before moving to Los Angeles in 2001 to attend The Masters Seminary.

While working on my M.Div degree, I began serving on staff at Grace Community Church as the Jr. High Pastor. I served in this capacity from 2003-2007 before moving back to Mobile where I served as the Family Ministries Pastor at Christ Fellowship Baptist Church. I was serving in this role until I was contacted by Sunrise about considering serving as the Lead Pastor. Through many conversations and prayers, we made the decision to accept the position, and in January we moved to Atlantic Beach. I am currently working on a D.Min degree at Southern Seminary in Louisville, KY.

If you are new to Sunrise, welcome! I would love the opportunity to meet you. Feel free to email or call us at (904) 249-3030.

For His Glory,
Allen

Elders
Mike Millam

I have been at Sunrise for 15 years and became an elder in 2014.  I am married to Barbara and have a son, Nic D'Angelo, and a daughter, Natalie, who is married to Derek D'Alessandro, and they have given us three grandchildren: Gracie (11), Chase (9), and Lillie (7).

I was baptized as a young child and drifted away from God during my adolescent and young adult years, and in 1985 accepted Jesus as Lord & Savior.  While at Sunrise, Barbara and I both were baptized in the church and re-dedicated our lives to our Lord and Savior.  I have been serving on the Worship Team for the past ten years and in the last few years have been in a leadership role on the Worship Team and serving as leadership coordinator.  I have served on the church Nominating Committee for the past five years, and was recently nominated and accepted as an Elder in the church.

Branan Woodham

I have been attending and a member of Sunrise for over 23 years, and have served as a deacon for about six years of that time, while serving on the Elder Board for eight.  While on the Elder Board I have served as Treasurer, Secretary, Vice-Chairman and Chairman.

I am supported and encouraged by my wife of 39 years, Jeffie, and am privileged to have my son Brannan, his wife Amy, and their children (my
wonderful grandchildren) Abigail and Gavin also in attendance at Sunrise. Jeffie serves as the Deaconess for Hospitality, and she and I both participate
in the Biblical discipleship and counseling efforts offered by Sunrise.

I came to Christ in 1969 while in college at Auburn University.  In those days, religious groups could go door-to-door in residence facilities.  I was contacted by fellow students from  Campus Crusade for Christ. They explained my need for a savior, what that meant and how to go about committing myself to Him. I had been raised in "church" all my life but I never realized the need for a personal relationship until it was explained by these young Christians.  I committed myself to Christ some months later as I walked the beach at Gulf Shores as I thought and prayed about what those young men had shared with me.
